Building in public — early days.

mindpalace is an open-source, self-learning personal AI agent that runs on your own Claude Max subscription. It ships generic and sharpens into your world with every conversation — it remembers, learns your conventions, writes its own skills, and runs real work in the background. It lives in your terminal and on Discord at the same time.

Why I’m building it

I wanted an assistant that actually compounds — one that files what it learns into a personal knowledge vault instead of forgetting it, and grows more precise for me over time. So I’m building it for myself first, in the open, MIT-licensed.

What it does today

• One always-on agent across terminal + Discord, with scoped sub-bots and a permission fence.
• A learning loop: derives reusable “skills” from real tasks; a background analyst files knowledge (infra, accounts, projects) into a structured vault.
• Runs async work — backups, deploys, scrapes, reminders — and reports back.
